Live on the Lawn Need to Know

Here are some important details to help you enjoy Live on the Lawn at Whetstone Baptist Church safely.

You must book

Places are limited and need to be booked in advance.

Please email the office giving:

Names of all the people coming with you as a household or group (a maximum of 6 including children) and contact numbers.

We will email you to let you know if you have secured your place(s).

What to expect
Each week a minister gives a short version of the message from our Sunday video service. We’ve planned a time together that will be joyful and family-friendly. The service lasts for 45 minutes.

We are COVID-secure with social distancing. Toilets are available in the church. Your details are checked off when you arrive, and the church keeps the attendance data for 14 days.
Live on the Lawn dos and don’ts
Do let the office know if you decide not to come, or if you want to add to your party – 0116 286 3145 until Friday 4pm, or by text over the weekend: 07469 703 854.
Don’t come if you feel unwell.
Over 11’s must bring face coverings (if you are able to wear one) in case the weather causes us to move inside the church. You may wear a face covering outside too, if you prefer. Stewards may wear them for added protection.
Do bring a garden chair or rug.
Do bring something for the offering if you wish to, cash or envelope scheme – we will collect it safely.
Do bring a bible if you want to follow the reading.
Do come onto the lawn via the King Street gate, stewards will direct you to a place.

Do stay in your own household bubble or group.

Don’t join up with other groups.

Do remain at least 2 metres from all other groups or individuals.
Do leave by the Wale Road gate or King Street gate as directed.
Do book your place for next week via the church office.
Do let the office know if you are tested positive for COVID within 14 days of being present. If this happens, we will inform all who attended. Attendees should then seek medical advice on any requirement for self-isolation or testing.

What about bad weather?

If the forecast is not good, we will aim to move the service inside, and we will give further information in this website and Facebook page

See you there!
