Young people, together with the children, are an essential part of the church family here at Whetstone Baptist Church, and so we have a dedicated youth ministry team just for them. We are passionate about providing a fun, loving and safe environment where young people can learn about and engage with the holy God of love, through studying the Bible, through prayer, through music and drama, and through the leaders modelling what a Christian life looks like, all undertaken in an age-appropriate and meaningful way.
Our prayer is that as young people grow from babies to young adults they will also grow spiritually, that they will grow to know their Father God personally, place their faith and trust in Jesus, know what it means to follow Jesus, and live full lives that reflect the character and nature of God.

Dynamite meets each Sunday after the family worship time in the main building. It is a group for the young people aged 11- 16 years old. The group learns from the bible, as well as looking at themes that affect their everyday lives, and their walk with God.
Space is a social youth group that meets every Sunday evening from 7:00pm – 8:30pm at the church. Space is a safe place where young people aged 11yrs and above and come, bring their friends, and have fun doing lots of different activities together with the aim of building meaningful friendships within the church family.
The church family here at Whetstone are committed to the nurturing, protection and safeguarding of all children and young people associated with the church. As a church family we seek to establish practice which ensures that all our activities are conducted in a way which promotes a safe environment for all and demonstrates God’s love. Therefore, the Safe to Grow document is a set of guidelines that seeks to achieve this, and has been produced in light of our responsibilities for the safeguarding of all children and young people under the age of 18 (regardless of gender, ethnicity or ability) as set out in The Children Act 1989 and 2004, Safe from Harm (HM Government 1994) and Working Together to Safeguard Children (HM Government 2010) [or Working Together under the Children Act (Welsh Assembly Government 2006)].
