Each leader is responsible for one or more areas of church life. Their role is to encourage, envision, value and support the ministry leaders and teams in our church.

Sarah was appointed as Church Secretary in 2018. She works as a communications officer for Leicester City Council, and was a teacher previously. She has been involved in the church since coming to activities as a child, and was baptised at the age of 18. Over the years Sarah has lead small groups and been involved in children's ministries. Sarah is married and has one grown-up son.
Laurence was appointed as Church Treasurer in April 2021. Laurence began coming to the church in 2002, and was baptised and became a member soon after. Laurence is a chartered accountant and finance director in his working life. Within the church Laurence has held many roles in the past including overseeing the hospitality and welcome teams.
Charlotte works in a secondary school in Leicester and has been a church member for 16 years. Charlotte has always had a heart for young people and families, serving in many areas including the marriage course, a post-Alpha small group and helping to lead women's events. Charlotte is married to Andy and they have two young sons.
John has been coming to WBC for many years since bringing his boys to Sunday school here. John is the Responsible Authorised Person for registering marriages within the church. John is the Chair of the pre-school committee.
John's interests include his family, sporadic attempts to learn Japanese, cooking and writing books. John is married to Val who writes and edits many items for the church.
Local & overseas mission
Alan has been at WBC for over 20 years, since coming to Leicester when he worked with Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF). He's served the church in various roles. His big passions are mission and discipleship, including encouraging Christian giving. Alan is a trustee and volunteer at a community library. He loves most sports (watching these days), puzzles, reading and DIY.
Alan is married to Judy and they have six grandchildren.
Sue became a Christian as a teenager, and has been at WBC since 1981. From 1984 Sue worked full time for WBC for eight years as a pastoral worker after being a school teacher. Her teaching skills were also utilised later as a driving instructor and helping older people to use their technology. In recent times Sue has been a small group leader and organised events. She is also currently involved in Christian ministry to international students in Leicester, which she loves.
James came to faith on a local Alpha course after, he says, many years of ignoring his relationship with Jesus. He found a home church at WBC with his wife Kirstie in 2011. James has been involved in young people's work, and recently as part of the team researching and planning our move to a new building and learning about transition from other churches. James and Kirstie have two young children.
Children & families
Liz started to come regularly to WBC in 2010 and was baptised in 2015. She has been involved in children’s and family ministry serving with Creche and Kids Church, Holiday Bible Club, groups for mums with young children, and our Raising Faith discussions supporting faith development for parents and children. Liz also serves on the WBC Design Co board. Liz is a physiotherapist and volunteers as a gymnastics coach and judge. She is married and has two young children.
Building Project Manager
Steve came to faith as a teenager, and has been a member of WBC since 2019. Steve is the project manager of our church building project, and a member of the WBC Design Co board.
Steve plays bass in a worship team, often alongside other Mould family members. In his spare time you can usually find him on a golf course. Steve is married to Rachel and has grown up children.
Tristan has always been at WBC, coming to all the children's and youth groups, then the Alpha Course at 14 before experiencing God's leading into many faith-challenging and faith-building situations.
Tristan is a talented drummer and plays in our various worship groups. He is married to Sally and has a young daughter.
WBC has been Philippe's spiritual home since the age of five. He committed his life to Christ at 15, was baptised at 17 and joined the membership. Philippe has served the church in leadership roles in many ways.
Philippe works for Arab World Ministries, and has served locally and overseas on short-term mission trips. He is married to Elspeth and they have two young daughters.
Fabric and maintenance
Mick has been a member of WBC since 2014. Before retirement, he worked as a legal executive.
Mick serves on the WBC Design Co board, and is a member of the finance team and welcome team. Mick was part of the mission insight team which visited Albania in 2019. He is married to Maxine and has four adult step children.
Hannah has attended WBC for most of her life, but her faith became real when she came back to church as an adult. She has been involved in many areas of church life over the years including the finance team, children’s work, the welcome team, the prayer & healing team and community outreach. Hannah is a radiographer at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire. Hannah is married to Matt, and they are about to become parents.
